My Review of Baby Giraffe Costume

Now here's a baby costume you don't see everyday! Tots stand out from the herd in this wild 'n wonderful jumpsuit, complete with giraffe horns, attached "hoof" covers, and sweeping tail. Exceptional quality; fleece is velvety soft. Imported.

after waiting over a month for my back ordered costume to come in, i was dissapointed by what i recieved. first off, it was clear to me that someone else had returned the costume i recieved. i'm not so naive as to think that i won't sometimes be buying something that someone else has returned, but you certainly don't want to feel like something you bought new looks "hand-me-down". in fact, it looks like it's been washed which may be part of the problem with the sizing. don't get me wrong, it's still a cute costume. the description says that the costume fits sizes 2T-3T and goes up to 32lbs and 38". my 22-month old is is fitting 3T clothes and is definately tall for her age. but she's only 29.5 lbs and maybe 35" tall. i did cram her into the costume, which is labled "2T", but the body of it was too short by about 3". her little sholders were all hunched up when i put the hood on (which i must admit, was kinda funny) but then she just kept saying "mommy off" (which was kind of pathetic). luckily, a friend of mine ordered the tiger and zebra costumes for her twins, in 2T-4T sizes and they are way too big for her kids (who are only 2 weeks younger than mine) so we are swapping one of the costumes. but when we put the giraffe costume on her child, who normally wears 18-24 months, it fit her perfectly (and is SUPER CUTE). when i called OSA customer service to let them know about the costume, the operator said she'd not heard any other complaints about the sizing on that costume. so maybe it was just mine. but it's a shame because it's so dang cute! hard to say if i would recommend this to a friend... i mean, it's affordable and definately cute. but if you have to wait a month for it only to find the fit way off, with no time to return it and no larger sizes then, it's not really worth it...
